3 Steps to Start Moving Toward Your Tomorrow, Today
Why do we put off doing what we need to do in order to achieve our dreams? Why is it that days, weeks, months and even years continue to go by and so many of us are stuck in the same financial struggles, relationship stress and health challenges? How can we get unstuck and start moving towards the life that we truly desire?
Here are 3 steps to start moving toward your tomorrow that have helped us and so many of the people that we have worked with for the past few years:
1. First realize that ‘someday’ is not a day of the week.
If you have the mentality of “I’ll start eating right after my vacation”, “I’ll start paying down my debt after the holidays”, “I’ll start being kinder to my spouse once the kids are out of the house” or whatever else you are putting off, it’s time to KNOCK IT OFF! The time is now. Tomorrow is never a promise and someday often never comes. It’s time to draw that line in the sand and decide once and for all that you are worthy of achieving success with your health, your relationships, your finances and all of the areas of your life that you are not content with. There is no time like the present to just get started and the realization that time doesn’t wait for anybody can be enough of a motivator to get started NOW!
2. Baby steps are better than no steps at all.
If you are wanting to lose weight and you have 50 lbs to lose, increasing your physical activity and eliminating a few of the extra calorie foods or drinks that you consume could make all the difference for you. Even if you lost one pound a week, in a year you would be at your goal without much effort or deprivation. If you are trying to get out of debt, even paying down a little bit at a time will eventually make a big difference for you. Take baby steps and you will be there before long!
3. Make a vision board.
Focus on what you want to create for yourself by creating the vision. For example, put yourself on the board with your ‘new lean body’, add your dream house, write the words ‘debt-free’, and add other images of what your want and how you want your life to be. If you haven’t made a dream/vision board, it’s a great step in manifesting your goals and dreams. If you have made one in the past, perhaps it’s time to create a newer one. Refresh your vision and of course, make sure to spend a few minutes each day, looking at the board, seeing yourself living your dream life and especially, getting in touch and feeling the emotions of that success. You’re on your way!
